Glasgow calling

I have a big and profound love for Glasgow...I worked on my dissertation there and it was also the first time for me away from home on my own. well I've been already away from home on my own, but always together with some friends, school mates...that time I was completely alone, and that's probably why I feel such a strong link to Glasgow.
anyway I think Glasgow doesn't receive the right attention it deserves, it' s all a matter of misconceptions and I think is so wrong...It has such a warm heart, the city centre, so naive and cosy, and what about Mackintosh? so great! well, I think I will dedicate many many words to Glasgow trying to give it something back!
In the meantime check out some good glaswegian sound with the band "the fratellis", who had a big success with their brilliant single Chelsea dagger!
bye for now

Muffins....

here's an easy recipe for the best English dessert ever!

Lemon/Raspberry Streusel Muffins
INGREDIENTS
250 g all-purpose flour
100 g sugar
9 g baking powder
2 g baking soda
3 g salt
2 eggs, lightly beaten
245 g lemon yogurt
120 ml vegetable oil
2 g grated lemon peel
125 g fresh or frozen raspberries
TOPPING:
65 g sugar
30 g all-purpose flour
30 g butter or margarine
DIRECTIONS
1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Combine eggs, yogurt, oil and lemon peel; mix well. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in raspberries. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups three-fourths full. For topping, combine sugar and flour. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; sprinkle about 1 tablespoon over each muffin. Bake at 400 degrees F for 18-20 minutes or until muffins test done. Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack.

enjoy...
